Barber FAQ: booking, prices and services

No. Clipper Culture is appointment only, with no walk-ins, no queue and no waiting room. Every booking is a timed appointment with space left before the next one, so the chair is yours for the whole cut. Reserve a time through the booking page or call 0415 990 995 to find one that suits you.

There are three ways. Book online at the booking page, where you choose the service and a time; call 0415 990 995; or send a direct message to @clipper_culture_ on Instagram. Online booking shows live availability, so it is the quickest way to see which times are open across the next few weeks.

Appointments can be booked up to 30 days ahead, and at least 2 hours before the time you want. That means a same-day cut is possible when a time is still open and you book with 2 hours or more to spare. Check the booking page for live availability, or call 0415 990 995 to ask.

Cancellation is free up to 2 hours before your appointment. A booking is cancelled if you have not arrived within 15 minutes of the appointment time, so if you are running late, or need to change or cancel with less notice, call the studio on 0415 990 995 as soon as you know. Yes. The studio works by appointment only, seven days, including evenings and weekends. Exact times vary with bookings, so the most reliable way to see what is free is the live availability shown when you book online. If nothing shown suits you, call 0415 990 995 and ask about other options.

A Men's Standard Haircut is $35, a Men's Fade is $40, a High School Fade is $35 and a Kids cut is $30. A Beard Trim & Line Up is $15 and a Cut Throat Shave is $10, and both can be added to a cut or booked alone. All prices are in AUD; the full list is on the pricing page.

All forms of payment are accepted. No deposit is taken when you book online, so reserving a time costs nothing upfront. The price you pay is the menu price of the services you booked, plus the call-out fee only if you book a mobile appointment under $120. Event pricing is quoted separately on enquiry.

Yes. The Cut Throat Shave is $10 and uses a hot towel and a straight razor for the closest finish. Add it to any cut or beard service, or book it on its own. Head shaves are offered too, but they are not on the online menu, so call 0415 990 995 to book one.

Yes. It costs $15 and can be booked by itself or added to any haircut. It tidies the beard and defines the edges for a sharp finish. See the beard trim page for more, and choose it from the service list when you reserve a time online.

No. Perms are not offered, and there are no colouring or chemical services on the menu. Clipper Culture focuses on cuts, fades, beard work and shaves. If you have curly or textured hair, see the curly and textured hair page, or the Journal's piece on curl alternatives to a perm.

Yes. Children's cuts cost $30, and the High School Fade for teenagers costs $35. Appointments are timed with space between bookings, so there is no waiting room full of people and the session is one barber with one client. More detail is on the kids haircuts page.

Yes. Jonah Ataalla, the owner and only barber, holds an active, verified Working With Children Check. In NSW the check is required for child-related work and is continuously monitored while the clearance is held. You can read more about Jonah on his profile page.

Yes, on request, with a limited number of mobile appointments each week. Call 0415 990 995 to arrange one. Standard menu prices apply, plus a $40 call-out fee on mobile bookings under $120. Bookings of $120 or more within Campbelltown, Camden and surrounding suburbs carry no call-out fee, and areas further out may incur a travel fee confirmed on enquiry. See mobile barber.

Yes. Clipper Culture handles weddings and groom parties, school formals, corporate grooming days, private events, sporting clubs and large group bookings. Pricing is set for each event, so send an enquiry by WhatsApp, by phone on 0415 990 995, or through the form on the wedding barber page. Every event type is listed under events.

The studio is at 28 Hartford Ave, Glen Alpine NSW 2560, in the Macarthur region of South-West Sydney. It is a private, home-based barber studio, so all clients come to Glen Alpine unless they have booked a mobile appointment. Photos of the space are on the studio page.

Yes to both. There is street parking outside the studio, and more parking beside the park reserve next to it. The studio is accessible, including for wheelchair users.
